Operational Principal

The Bolz-Summix conical screw mixer and dryer utilizes the well proven principle of a rotating screw driven via a radial arm. The screw continually passes through and agitates the material adjacent to the cone wall, while transporting part of the material from the base of the cone to the free material at the top surface. The material outside the screw, flows downwards by gravity and re-circulates. In addition to the axial material transport within the screw and the downward movement outside the screw the orbiting movement of the screw creates a tangential flow across it. The result is 3-dimensional mixing.
