Pennwalt Bowl Super Continuous Filter Centrifuge

Overview of Pennwalt's Super Continuous Filter Centrifuge

The Super Centrifuge is designed for the continuous separation of two immiscible liquids that may contain fine suspended solids, in small quantities, heavier than either liquid.

The machine spins at speeds that create centrifugal force close to 20,000xG.

Pennwalt's Super Continuous Filter Centrifuge Operational Principal

The g-force separates the two liquids according to their specific gravities into concentric cylindrical layers. The lighter liquid is moved to the center of the machine and the heavier phase, along with the fines (if applicable) move to the outer wall. The machine can either be designed as a separator or clarifier.
